Therapy vs. Life Coaching
I am a licensed clinical therapist and a certified life coach. To maintain clarity between these two professions, I have two separate businesses. Therefore, please be aware that I am unable to provide you with both therapy and life coaching. Regardless of which direction you choose, the ultimate goal is to help you live a life well lived, being effective and creating an action plan based on your personal values.
Therapy
The Focus
While the overall purpose of both therapy and life coaching is to establish and work through goals that lead to permanent change and personal growth, the route to get there looks very different. Therapy focuses on emotional healing and looks back at your past while helping you understand how it’s affecting your present. Life coaching focuses on setting and achieving goals without working through emotional wounds. Life coaching is more forward focused while therapy captures the past, present and future.
Coaching
If you are motivated to set goals and work collaboratively to overcome obstacles that seem to keep getting in the way, hop on over to my life coaching website, where you can learn more about how coaching may be a good fit for you.
